The multi-award winning and highly entertaining Bob Corbett delivers an adventurous & dynamic show. His solo performances leave the audience wondering how on earth he gets away without having pre-recorded anything. His live looping abilities are simply astonishing and truly unique.

When performing with his band, the audience is treated to a rich 4-piece acoustic sound. Its like a mix of Alison Krauss band, Union Station, meeting up with Paul Kelly and inviting Jackson Browne and Bob Marley to sit in. An odd combination on first thoughts but it does all fit together.

The string band approach (acoustic guitar, fiddle, mandolin, slide guitar etc.) is turned on its head when joined with the now familiar live looping that defines Bobs solo performances. The hybrid that ensues is quite unforgettable.

The Bands performances span his two albums and visit the genres of folk, pop, blues, bluegrass, alt-country, beat-boxing and reggae. Many of those styles would not usually appear in the same sentence, but it is the compelling delivery by some of Newcastles finest musicians (Dave Carter, Sue Carso, Michael Stove and in this particular video, a special appearance by Darren Brollo on Drums) that effortlessly bring Corbetts musical vision to life.

The Bob Corbett Band will be touring Australia to coincide with the release of his second, full-length album, STORYBOARD. The album itself has been met with rave reviews and has already amassed a collection of awards and prestigious nominations.

In early December 2008 Bob was announced as a MusicOz Awards finalist. This exciting news came only days after having drained the prize pool at the 1233 ABC Music Awards. Bob won six categories on the night, which was a new record for the Awards night. Best Folk song, Blues & Roots song, Pop song, the prestigious APRA & ABC Music Publishing Songwriter Recognition Award, the Hunter Broadcasters Choice Award, and as a final cherry on the cake, he was awarded the inaugural 1233 Tour Support Prize including a cash prize and halfday session with nationally renowned publicist Paula Jonesy Jones (John Butler Trio, Silverchair, Midnight Oil).

Six of Bobs songs were also short-listed in the 2008 Australian Songwriting Contest (ASA Awards) with his song, Share Crop Gone reaching no.6 out of 3000 entries.

The past year has seen Bob share stages with Sara Storer, Diesel, Marcia Hines, Ross Wilson and The McClymonts. He has performed at festivals alongside the likes of Jeff Lang and Chris Wilson. He has performed across the country to great acclaim in renowned venues like The Annandale Hotel (Sydney), The Esplande Hotel (Melbourne), Lizottes (NSW Central Coast), The Civic Theatre (Newcastle), and The Grace Emily (Adelaide).
