@KidBk313 the music's okay, but he's nowhere near the best lyricist of the past 20 years. Off the top of my head and I think of Elliott Smith, Jon Brion, Jeffrey Lewis and John Darnielle. I'm not sure if any of them are THE best, but each are far closer than Pete Doherty.

far beyond this in what way? it's beautiful, genuine and honest. all different types of music can be "technically" good but this consists of passion which makes it better than the studio cliche sell-out bullshit out there. he's the best lyricist of the past 20 year hands down.
