I had a teacher who in class ate the 2nd worst banana I ever saw (black, but no white spots). When he noticed everyone starting at him in total disgust, he proceeded to tell us how all banana's used to be sold with black spots. The yellow ones weren't ripe and didn't taste as good. The problem was they didn't have a long shelf life, so the banana companies put together an ad campaign to convince people that yellow bananas were better. Robert B. Davis was the best teacher I ever had.
