Why is it called "Impolex" and not "Imipolex," as in the novel? Also, how can I watch this? I wish I could, you know, get a DVD of it or something, because I'm really interested in seeing it (GR is my favorite book.... maybe).

Does anyone, reviewers or viewers, know that this story, the characters, and random plot devices(such as the Octopus, V-2 Bombs, bananas, and the 00000 rocket) were all taken from Gravity's Rainbow? Cause if you think this movie is weird, just wait till you had a crack at that novel! Man..

I live and work in L.A., too, and I loved Impolex. First of all, the cinematography is lovely and beautiful. Secondly, the film is an excellent example of a wonderfully loopy linear narrative storytelling in the tradition of midnight movie classics like Eraserhead and El Topo.

I came home after walking out of this unbearable movie and googled it to see who would produce or promote such a meaningless and badly made film. That and to try and find out what this absolutely pointless movie was trying to convey.

I live and work in LA. We do movies here, and when we make films about WWII, they dont look like they were badly videotaped in someones Connecticut backyard.

If this movie wins ANY awards, let me know. I'm pretty sure hell would have frozen over and pigs would have learned to fly, but i'll take back my post gladly if that happens.

Goes to show how low of a person you are that you're pathetic enough to insult a 2 yearold old about their looks. Really now, really? And really, the targeted audience (you know, the childs grandparents and relatives) really like those clips, and thats more successful than this movie.

I've seen this movie and it was unbearable. Gliter comes off like Schindlers List compared to this movie.
