A lap of the nurburgring stuck behind a rather annoying GT3 that will not move over.

  • there was a r32 at 4:52 is he warming up or what? that thing can put up a fight

  • @Rafael849910 Its an R33 i think. And i'm going pretty fast at that point; i'd say 80% of people that go to the ring dont know the circuit, so even if his car had twice as much power as mine he'd still be slower.

The ring is all about circuit knowlege. I know of 160bhp Mk2 golfs that are pretty much as quick as me.

  • Rechts fahren! Dumkopf! Ouslander Raus!

  • I speak German :o)

  • The Rotary has to be the most revolutionary, off da chain engine in the world, as far as a mid-level production car goes. The car isnt the cheapest, but its certainly not one of the expensive rides, (like the Porsche) but the engine the RX-7 car has in it, can oppose the likes of Porsche, BMW, Lamborgini, even Ferrari. I've seen it a few times. The Rotary is my favorate powerplant..

  • gt3 definetly has horsepower and torque advantage. very nice rx i think track knowledge and driver skill were the real issue. gt3 should be much more capable

  • my engine has 3mm steel apex seals, bigger oil pan, aftermarket lower intake manifold with equal length runners, and that engine is going super strong. its in my daily driven 94 rx7. I use cold plugs and change the oil every 2,000 to 3,000 miles. no problems on the engine if you keep up with the oil changes. I also change my plugs every four oil changes. if you have an FD v-mount intercooler setup is where is at....

  • That's a quick FD you have...

  • This is literally a heart-pumping video, excellent driving!

  • the best video on youtube in nurburgring

  • @waspishbobfish You're lucky. I know someone who raced one competitively on the track track and they had nothing but ongoing trouble with their engines. A nice compact engine, but not without its problems. Yes, I've always liked Porsches as well as many other cars. I almost bought an RX 7 the first year they came out...was that 1979 or 1980?

  • @waspishbobfish Warst du am letzten "Carfriday" auch da? Ich hab nur einen RX7 gesehen und der war Weiß und Stock.

  • @Christine102938 I didnt start racing competitively until at least a year after this video was taken. In fact, I watch this now and think "god my driving is terrible!"

My apex seals are just fine thankyou, 30,000 miles now on a tuned and heavily track driven car and still going strong! :)

I take it you are a porsche fan? :)

  • @waspishbobfish So you race competitively and he doesn't. Do you think you could have even come close if he did? BTW, how are your apex seals? LOL.

  • all that porsche needs is a better driver..... definitely has the power to get away, even on corners but is not being pushed to the limit. Great video!

  • @rhinedevil I'm sorry but I don't speak german, I'm learning though....
