@Suuuuumaaa I know that's it old, but I had to answer... you are definitely right, it's true, Lana loved Clark, Lois loved "better me" of Clark's personality
and I agree with something else too: Smallville ended after this episode, then it was Superman
Smallville was always about Clark and Lana ;-)

@reevesdamn - to do that Clark would have to have Superman strength (heh) and as that bomb was full of kryptonite that kind of wasn't an option.

based on the original movies, lois never truely loved clark, she loved superman. she was shallow and pretentious and only liked the strong, hot hero; not the nerd at the daily planet. lana liked clark for who he really was, the geeky, equipment manager. she loved him long before she learned his secret.
