  • You know it's kind of a pity that William Castle didn't go all the way through and shoot an alternate ending to the film. Would have made a neat DVD special feature.

  • When I saw the movie, half the audience held up their middle fingers.

  • on the TCM website it says there "was" another ending but it was almost never used

  • Oh William you goofy bastard!

  • @PaulSebert I'm with you he should have made an alternate ending just so we could see what happens if the butler told him what sir Robert said.

  • Thumbs down actually meant mercy and thumbs up meant death. I wonder how the meaning got reversed.

  • @alexalex3131 Problem was that a system to switch film reels on the fly, as this would require, simply didn't exist!

  • @TheLivingHermit1 Yeah. Excuse me for being exhausted and not thinking clearly when I typed that.

  • @iheartslashers "The guy"...

  • The guy in this shot is clearly hoping you'll pick the punishment bit. He shouldn't be so biased; he should let the audience pick without showing his own feelings on the subject.

  • @Guernicaman I agree!

  • @alexalex3131 Who's the projectionist's union? And why did they object to it?
