By far the largest environmental impact of a basketball game are the transportation costs for 25,000 fans travelling to 43 home games every year. So if the NBA really wants to be green, it needs centrally located stadiums with ample public transportation and as small parking lots as possible. The NBA does a pretty good job at this, but tit's significantly more important than extra recycling stations.

Excellent - let's have more of these! Kudos to NRDC - an outstanding group of very dedicated people - and the NBA.
