Restore iPhone/iPod Touch back to 3.0 from 3.1

how to restore your iPod Touch/iPhone from 3.1 to 3.0

1. Download 3.0 software here
http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/#
2. go to your iPod/iPhone in iTunes
3. right-click, while holding down shift, on UPDATE and search for the 3.0 software you have downloaded
4. then just re-jailbreak your iPod/iPhone and your done

Umm...... this isn't for an iPhone dude.  In your demo your using an iPod Touch which ISN'T anything like the iPhone if you want to downgrade from 3.1 to 3.0. You need to re-title your video or show how to successfully do it on a 3G or a 3GS phone.

So far you can't restore a 3GS phone back to 3.0 from 3.1 by just option or shift clicking on the restore button, it fails the restore process.

You can't just option click and restore from the 3.0 or 3.0.1 file, it errors out every time. So far the iPhone dev team has a fix with the pwnage tool but it only works with the 2G and 3G, the 3GS is unaffected and can't be downgraded as of yet.

This downgrade that you posted for the video does not work for the iPhone running 3.1............
