The 3rd and final assignment of my TV Field Production class (Bucks County Community College) had one requirment, it had to be filmed entirly out of chronologicle order. Otherwise, it was whatever we wanted to do. I'm a huge Star Trek fan and always wanted to do a parody using my own family. One of my favorite parodys is an audio only parody made for radio by Bobby "Boris" Pickett and Peter Ferrara, and has been played on the Dr. Demento show. Every time I would hear it, I would picture in my head what it might look like to make a movie of it. So here was my chance to put 2 ideas together, lol. My late father is Mr. Shlock, my sister is Lt. Manurha, and my mom and brother-in-law do alot of the off screen voices (I did a couple and my girlfriend of the time did 1). My father and I filmed the final scene in those hawaiin shirts in below freezing temperatures, lol, so my dad could only get through a couple takes before we had to quit, so it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted to, but to this day, I greatly appretiate what he did for me, not only to stand in freezing cold, but to wear those ears in public, lol. Thanks dad, where ever you are. I miss you and love you, and I dedicate this film to you.
