As a Conservative Trevor Ivory, if elected MP, can put pressure on future Conservative governments to deliver real change for North Norfolk. Liberal Democrat, Norman Lamb, can never deliver significant progress. The only government he will ever be part of is a Gordon Brown Labour coalition if re-elected in 2010.

  • I agree Norman is a good man. However we must be realistic. As a Liberal Democrat what he can achieve is very limited.

Also if there is a hung parliament at the next election it is very likely the Liberal Democrats will support Gordon Brown's Labour government. That terrifies me. The fact they could keep in the worst ever Prime Minister who has given us record debt and is bankrupting the country. There is no middle way.

I suggest Norman fights and wins a Labour seat. Best for everyone.

  • Trevor clearly would be more effective as our MP.

As a Conservative MP he said if elected he will join Suffolk MPs to put pressure on David Cameron to improve the coastal defences. The government would probably give in to protect their seats. The problem is that the Liberal Democrats will never be in government to make that happen.

Trevor Ivory doesn't currently get the credit he deserves because he is not currently the MP and the Eastern Daily Press is a Liberal Democrat newspaper.

  • Trevor has actually done quite a bit for North Norfolk. I have campaigned with him on various occassions.

He has campaigned to help keep the Flood sirens in Wells. He has campaigned to help keep Holt and Sheringham's lavatories open. He has campaigned to save Kelling hospital beds. He also has been fighting for our local post offices.

  • Hi there. I am surprised you had not already heard of Trevor Ivory.

I agree Norman is a good MP and I think we are very likely at the General Election to have a choice between two outstanding candidates.

To find out what Trevor has done for North Norfolk I would suggest you either check out Trevor's website, his Facebook group or see the new video 'North Norfolk Matters - Trevor Ivory Speaks' on Youtube.

  • Norman Lamb, has done a great deal for Norfolk, he is well known and an excellent record of public service. I have not heard of you before what have you achieved for North Norfolk?

  • Trevor can save us. You said you had little interest in being in a Conservative cabinet. You want to be a hard working constituency MP. You said that if a future Conservative government does not give us what we need to fight coastal erosion you and other coast constituency MPs will embarrass it.

A MAN who PUTS his CONSTITUENTS BEFORE his PARTY.

  • What a fine man to represent North Norfolk.

A Conservative MP can deliver on promises due to being part of a government. Liberal Democrats are never in government and can never deliver.
