The early 1970s was a LONG time ago. Don Mclean (like the rest of us) has grown old. We tell our youth, "I wonder if you know that I never understood that although you said you'd go, until you did, I never thought you would."

I feel like Don McLean doesn't get as much recognition as he deserves. People can't get past American Pie (good song still) and hear his other music. He's one of the best song writers out there.
