    EB of 500 Series is about 3.60km/h/s. Stopping a train running at 300km/h is not a easy task, it needs about 4000m to 4500m for stopping a Shinkansen. So if there is someone break into the rail, although the operator can see him/her, it won't be able to stop the train and he/she has only 11 seconds to avoid the train. You may ask why Shinkansen has a suck deceleration, because braking will cause a high temperature to the wheels, it may cause the train derails.
