Well the very first SOAKY figure was MICKEY MOUSE. If there was anything to the licensing cost that made this product cost-prohibitive to produce, this first venture should have proved it. But just about every popular TV cartoon character was licensed for this product. I think it only lasted two years. They ran out of characters to license. These would surely be collector's items today.

@diddymuck Agreed. Mainly copyright and/or royalty fees on a lot of the characters used to obtain the rights to use them.
