ANCHORED IN THE SOUTH
PEDRO ANDRES RISSO

I have the soul anchored to a boat that sank in the South.
It was carrying blue and white burning chest...
We went to the sea to retrieve a dove who was stolen by the hawk!

The horizon left between seeing the vastness of the pigeon trapped,
And my heart went on to defend it from the cruel oppressor!

From that solitude, our friendship grew:
Flock of soldiers as brothers and to fight! for freedom
Of that sister alone. Of the lonely dove into the ocean.
Lost, alone! ...

Brave soldiers began to wrestle with faith
Because the land that we fight for is our.
Chest: bow to the sea. The soul, head to right.
Sure we went fight to win!

Ruthless unjust war, they gave no quarter ...
We fight alone! ... Almost without weapons! ...
And the enemy without hesitation
He fixed his grip and plunged us into the sea! ...

Today, that time has passed, try to forget me
Of those partners that sank in the sea
Dreaming of glory ... And they're history!
Sleeping alone and forgotten under a frozen cloak ...
Always alone! ...

I swear colleagues
One morning not too far
Will rise on the southern islands
Our flag, in the blue sky! ...

¡Siempre solos!...

¡Yo, les juro compañeros,
Que una mañana no muy lejana
Verán ondear en las islas del Sur
Nuestra bandera, sobre el cielo azul!...
