wow you really have to wait ten minutes to remove it!! I was thinking of getting this done, I was talking to a lady at the Dr.'s office today who had it done and her nails are beautiful, but man that is a long time to wait and I guess after its off you are kind of obligated to get something done again... once in a while to nail lady is fine but on a reg basis is a bit much! I hope they come out with something along this line we can do at home!

@TheRedBoxVoice Yes acetone does temporarily dehydrate your skin. This is why the nail wraps that I show you in the video are perfect because its only the cotton pad that gets soaked in acetone and that section goes on the nail only. I wanted to show how it peels away so thats why I put my finger in acetone but for those that don't have the wraps you could always add a barrier cream (like vaseline) all over the skin and it would stop your finger drying out :) x

@eighthcylinder Hello to you Annmarie in Michigan !! (I love the states - need to get back there SOON!) You should try Shellac and by the time it takes to remove it they'll be a little longer for you... and then you can have lushious longer nails :) Thanks for watching - Karen x

Have you ever had any problems removing the Shellac? I know a woman who gets Shellac nails and her natural nails are in terrible shape because the salon she goes to also using an electric nail file to remove the product. I don't believe this is how the product was supposed to removed. Maybe the salon just doesn't want to wait the full ten minutes so is trying to save money by saving time?
thepamperroom 4 months ago
@thepamperroom I actually can barely believe that !! I've never had a problem removing correctly applied Shellac. Once a new client came to me having been to somewhere else and they had applied Glaze N Go over the top which does not respond to acetone (Its designed for a shine over acrylics and not Shellac) so I had to gently hand file the top layer off. I find that unbelievable that they could not follow a simple 10 minute process! x

@PrincessCeuks You're welcome Amandine. I'm suprised Shellac isn't there but they are a few brands that have tried to copy so maybe one of them is more available there x
