@Heinousness Since when does being successful have to be synonymous with being commercialized? I certainly wouldn't want Damien to 'sell out', but that doesn't mean I'm glad that he's unpopular. That kind of extreme anti-mainstreamism is just ridiculous. Saying that you're glad a musician isn't popular is like saying you're happy that they're poor and can't make a living off of music (which is often the case...). I realize that many popular musicians are sellouts, but I'd like to see that change

im sure he sees what you mean.. but i also see what he means. once a musician or group gets too much attention, they get cocky and sell out. music and commercialism are not a good mix

It just supports the attitude that you only listen to music for the image it gives you, which I think is stupid. You should listen to music because it's good, and share it with others so that more people can experience it.

he has an amazing voice and talent, its not hard to catch the emotion he throws out there, I wish more people would give him a try. everyone I've introduced his music to almost instantly love it.
