Conservative Dogma is Running America Into the Ground

We are in the middle of a Holy War in America. One side is Conservatives, one side is the rest of us. The conservative bandwagon is powered by religion and a belief it is spiritually valid to oppose homosexuality and abortion, yet support war, predation and egregiously rich. It's a curious mix, spurred on daily by a mass net of misinformation which steers Americans into believing it is righteous to oppose saving the earth from the destruction man is obviously responsible for. Teaches that the war in Iraq was valid and well fought while the great body of evidence shows it was ill advised, rushed into for questionable reasons and profoundly poorly fought. Teaches that America has the Cadillac of Heathcare systems (Levin), yet when you compare us to our contemporaries, you find we are paying far more and getting far less. Teaches that it is spiritually valid for 80% of our population to live on 9% of what we produce, causing mass poverty. America is second only to Mexico in childhood malnutrition among developed countries. The web of lies follows closely with the agenda of corporations, from hatred for cleaning up the environment to healthcare.

It is highly dangerous to believe, as Neocons do, America must be the Omni World Power, with the ability to unilaterally invade and occupy any country at any time of our choosing. It is equally dangerous to believe man has no impact on the earth, and pollution should be allowed to continue at a rate which allows corporations to make as much revenue as possible, without regulation.

Stopping the Conservative media power grid should be priority 1 for all non-conservatives. Unless we do this, the quality of life throughout the world will continue to be negatively impacted, conceivably to the point of extinction. Or do we think they will stop on their own before the planet is compromised and/or a nuclear bomb or two have gone off.

At the root of populous conservatism is a serious denial of reality and a lot of wishful thinking. Supply side economics, which Reagan helped the right-wing to embrace, has resulted in the most rapid increase in income and wealth equality in history. Moreover, growth in the real economy has plummeted as the deregulated financial sector has replaced lost domestic [wage] productivity with predatory financial profit in GDP. The bloated financial sector is about to dwarf the size of the US gov't.

The middle class has lost 12% of it's wealth to the Elite... shall we loose 15%? What will America look like when the ELite own 97%... we are 4% away from that now.

If the middle class OWNED 20% of wealth.. but now owns 7%... how is that "Trickle Down"?

Problem is the power grid will try to start an actual civil war here. No doubt in my mind. Get us killing each other. I can easily see militias coming out to kill "homos, commies and immigrants". They are being trained for that.
