She ridicules it because people don't know when to quit anymore. They write like that everywhere, not just on social media. Can't tell you how many times I've come across an online ad for a legit company, and it's filled with "u" and "ur." I immediately click off. There's a time and place for abbreviations, such as Twitter. I think she just wanted to point out that you should also focus on how to spell properly when you're wrong so you don't look like a moron when you're older from using them.
