I feel like the 11th Doctor has been treated like a show of its own ignoring the past doctors and companions

Who says he needs to be as energetic as smith or tennant? Actually tennant wasn't even that animated, but still, McCoy, and McGann were both rather laid back naturally, and they were great!

Haha, then he would finally be ginger!

But I don't know if Rupert Grint could be that animated to play the Doctor... he seems too chill

I don't know why, but i just had the thought that Rupert Grint would be a great 12th doctor!

All I know is that if you ever need to coax a BBC writer out of hiding, just offer them an anagram.

Doctor Who.... I feel like I would enjoy the same kinds of things if I were English or Scottish or even, say, Canadian. I'm not sure if taste really would change. For example, I tend to watch more comedy and science-y things, and I don't think that, if I had been raised in England, I would prefer more serious, death and destruction kinds of things. I think I would still prefer comedy, because I absolutely hate being sad. Just something to think about. Sorry about this being so long!

references. Like you go back and rewatch things since the beginning of Eleven and the change from Davies to Moffat and you realize that lots of things are connected. I think Moffat really does like that kind of structure, which I really like so, again, my opinion may be skewed. That might also be why it seems like a different show, because it's different things that were started by Moffat.

I will say I don't understand how Americans and U.K.-ans should be different in terms of what they like in

I don't know. I'm an American, so I guess my view may be skewed if it's targeted towards us, but eleven is my favorite doctor, and when I look back on my favorite episodes (the one with Madame de Pompadour in particular), they tend to be written by Steven Moffat. I don't really feel like things have changed and I think that's why I was confused originally. But I respect your opinion, I will not bash anyone like many youtube people :) Although I will say there ARE many more Harry Potter-ish

I know what you mean and I'll admit I've only seen the modern reboot version of the series but with Christopher and David I felt that they were still the same person. Even with Sarah Jane reunion I genuinely felt that the had met before in another life of his but I don't that same feeling with Matt.
