For Kathy a big Gino fan from Texas, whose first Gino concert was in 1976 during "The Gist Of The Gemini" tour..I am a 36 year fan of his, I have the utmost respect for him and his family.....;)
A big thank you to all who have made the nice comments about these videos. All I want is to bring back more old fans and new ones too...;) Please support him by buying his wonderful music and attending his concerts..If I brought back at least one fan to him, then it was worth posting these, and that was my original intent for these videos....He has many loyal fans and is alive and kickin' and still very active in his career, and has stayed true to himself and in his music. Let's keep supporting him in all he does for us !!

.As of 7/7/2011 there are new USA concert dates of July 30th in Atlantic City and Sept 3rd at Caeser's in Windsor, Ontario.....The big news is "A Sail In December with Gino Vannelli" on the cruise ship "The Oasis Of The Seas", which sails from Ft. Lauderdale on Dec 3, 2011 for 7 days on the Eastern Caribbean, returning to port on Dec 10, 2011..There will be 3 nights of Gino shows, what a beautiful time to look forward to ! @spowell2166 I agree with everything you have said, I have analyzed all of his lyrics too for many years, and yes they are very deep and heartfelt. All of this makes him so very special and that is why we fans are so loyal, he has stayed true to himself and never sold out to the record companies...He is still recording and performing and yes that is a gift to us all...;)

This album was my intro to Gino Vannelli back in the summer of '76 when I was 15. I heard "New Fix for '76" and fell in love with Gino's sound; I've been a fan ever since. I'm surprised "New Fix" isn't on YT. I've found a cover of the song and it's not bad, but nothing is like the original. Gino NEVER put out a bad album. He's one of the few artist that back in the day, I'd buy his albums without even hearing any of the cuts. Gino never disappointed. Seeing him live is on my bucket list.

On only the second line I continued reading 2166's post through tear-filled eyes. As a young man I discovered Gino and his brothers Joe and Ross. A senior in a Texas High School 1976 - there wasn't then, or now, an artist to compare to his heart poured out non-repeating thought prevoking lyrics. Houston concert 1978 - was the same age as Gino, my early 20's. What a talent this young man is. Simply electric on stage, as if for only the second time. Gino's wonderful work is absolutly TIMELESS.
