I was looking at your other videos and i noticed that you said you used a Tascam interface, i just wanted to know are they any good?

@AAXmonster Hey Adam, as I said on another video comment, the preamps aren't the best in the world, obviously, but they're surprisingly good for the price. I would highly recommend the US-1800 for all-purpose home recording, although the pres wouldn't hold up against those in a pro studio, of course. There's loads of headroom though, and it's a very cost-effective way to harness 8 ins, which of course is needed for recording drums.

@willdrums711 What mics are you using? Do you use compression / eq? Cubase? Overhead mic placement?

@MrMutron Mic selection is detailed on my channel page. There is a fair amount of processing going on on each channel, they are independently eqed. Compression is light, on snare and kick (only using about 4/5dB of GR). This was done with Cubase, yes. Overheads are in a spaced pair, more or less equidistant either side of the snare to avoid phase problems...
