  • total harmony between pictures and sound...thank you so much! The Flight of the Condor has fascinated me for over 25 years! It was Inti Illimani, if I am not mistaken, who provided the first sound track to the PBS show in the 80s. This one is better!

  • @knocklap I could not agree more, even though I am blowing my own trumpet here. I do have the original BBC 12" LP from the series and none of the tracks evoke the same haunting feeling of remote mountainous flight as this track does. It was an obvious choice for me the first time I heard it and I would consider re-editing it at some later stage if time allowed. I have so many frames of that flight to choose from also. Thank you for your lovely comment! Mike.

  • The following details describe the album that I had misplaced and this might help you trace the original music piece (track.19) that I incorporated into this video.

    Thank you all for inquiring.

    Mike.

    Artist: Varios intérpretes

    Song: flor de un dia

    Album: Melodias Instrumentales

    Year: 2005

    Genre: Folklore andino

    Duration: 00:03:37

  • whenever I feel tired and bored during my work (studies).... I always listen to music in this video. I owe you a thanks since long (and the person who composed it)

"thanks man' this is eternally beautiful.

  • @avadakedavra80: I am delighted that you find this music so satisfying. It was my favourite track on a CD that was presented to my wife and I in Arequipa, the day before we left for Colca canyon to see these birds. I have since misplaced it and have not been successful in tracing the original musicians. It is a haunting melody that takes me back to the true ambience of Colca canyon. Thank you for your kind words and you time. Mike.

  • Beautiful tune. Andean music is the most underrated of Latin American music and very much ignored in the US.
