UCLA Bruins 27 San Jose State Spartans 17

This win was annoying. If SJSU didn't run out of gas, UCLA could have lost this game. Is there any hope for this season? Sorry if I was rambling, but the defense pissed me off too. SJSU was playing with a 2nd and 3rd string QB tonight... which makes this close battle even more ugly.

A win is a win. The Bruins won, I know us fans expected more but it just was not to be a blowout.Bruin fans I think are underestimating the loss of their starting center for 1 game.The defense has to start playing better early especially the inside linebackers(Larimore and Zumwalt).Tony Dye is constantly out of position to make a play.The bright side is the offense is 16th in rushing and 52 in passing not a bad place to be.Bring on the Longhorns Bruins have their # just like Tennesse's

@mymindisfree09 LOL! I've grown up a UCLA fan much longer than being an SJSU student. If you went to say... Northern Arizona instead of U of A... you'd be rooting for U of A right? It's impossible to get into UCLA....

Lord knows i love my Bruins but jeez we almost blew it against the worst team in the FBS. When UCLA beat Texas last year, it had me walking on air... and then things took a turn for the worst. :/

Maybe UCLA brought out the best in San Jose.? Im just saying. Our offense was mediocre and defense was poor. UCLA needs to prep. for dual quaterback plays from texas. It seemed like sjsu students were getting ready to beat you in the background. Go Bruins!

As bad as our defense played, I'm surprised we gave up 17 points.

@CaliCoasterFreak No not really. I didn't grow up with a college team. My dad went to Loyal Marymount and they don't have a football team. If anything I grew up with ASU since I lived in Phoenix, but I knew I would never go there. My senior year I was a VT fan because I was going to go there on scholarship for wrestling, but after hurting my back I couldn't go. I also got scholarship opportunities to Penn and Princeton, but I opted to go to UA, and fell in love with it here

this game was a total let down even tho we won. the defense sux ass, need more tackling drills. Datone is such a disappointment, all hype no bite. receivers dropping too many balls. im so pissed because i thought we were better than this but i guess i was wrong. i thought we were gonna hold SJSU 7 or 10 pts at the most altho i was hoping for a shut out but i guess our defense isn't what it's hyped up to be. sorry, just ranting cuz im mad from da game. ill be shockingly surprised if we win vs tx.
