In this series of videos gay activist Jim Burroway talks about attending Focus on the Family and Exodus International's "Love Won Out" conference which promotes "gay curing" or "ex-gay" ministries.

In this segment Jim discusses conference speaker Melissa Fryrear's bizarre claim of the hundreds of gay men and women she's met over the years every single of them has been sexually violated in their lives. Jim notes that Fryrear spoke in absolutes which lead parents to falsely believe their children (without cause) must have been molested at some point in their lives causing their homosexuality.

I can't believe that you came to the conclusion that the woman's son was molested! Could it possibly be that the child was NOT molested and that what Melissa Fryrear's statements were nothing more than manipulative bullshit? Did you watch the video? I came to no such conclusion. In fact, I concluded that there was probably no such molestation at all, and that yes, Fryear's statement was clearly manipulative and mean-spirited -- as well as harmful to the parents who attended that conference.
