It's important to change your name when you're young - as you get older, the paper trail you leave behind (in your old name) complicates the procedure. If you're known as Maya from an early age, people will have always known you as Maya.
Ignore the haters; I wonder why they feel that they have anything worthwhile to say. Someone (RioTgirl, I think) said that she's "tired of being braver than the men I meet". We as T folk are brave people - we have to put up with the idiots of the world.

its funny to me that people that dont even have the courage to post a vid of themselfs on there own youtube profile have the balls to say things like this to someone like me. Let me tell you something im alot more of a person tryin to live my life as i feel i am ment to be than most people. I go to school trying to get a career i deal with people on a dayly basis. So no my dear you have it wrong you need to take a long look in a mirror.
