So your telling me that this weapon hasn't been fired scene the late 50's, and that it's been rebuilt from different serviceable parts..and the first two shots you make with it you pull the weapon right up to your face? are you serious ? Your lucky the thing didn't blow up in your face, ever heard of a hip fire ? idiot..

@Flori3058 Check out high power service rifle competitions. Every weekend all across the country they are shooting targets at 600 yards with open sighted service rifles. AR15s, M1a, and M1 Garands. (...and they aren't using a bench or bi-pod.) It's challenging, but it's not much different than shooting quarter at 25 yards, just have to allow for windage and elevation at distance.

If you want to give it a whirl, you should come out to an Appleseed Marksmanship clinic. You'll get all the fundamentals necessary to hit a target this size out to 500 yards. Google 'em. It's a lot of fun.
