I don't personally play percussion, but I have a true appreciation for the thing that keeps a band going when a director or drum major fails.

@yoyoyoimBC you idiot DCI is not about entertainment persae its about having only THE ELITE OF BRASS, PERCUSSION, AND COLOR GUARD compete against each other. Thats why its called "Marching Musics Major League" . I did it for 4 years and loved it, I was around people on my same level and better that I could LEARN FROM. That southern show band crap DOESNT TEACH ANYTHING CREATIVE. All it does is entertain a HAND FULL of people that could easily fill a high school stadium

I agree with iDrummerGirl totally. Ive been playing since I was 6 and all the movie Drumline is good for is entertainment. It has no educational value what so ever and I personally dont know why they made a movie about an aspect of marching music NO ONE really cares about and thinks is totally rediculous. Show bands went out, DCI came in, let dieing dogs die in peace.
