@tylah311 Hi. I hope I can explain this ok...
During the chorus I strum a D-sus2 (i think?) chord ( x x 0 2 3 0 ) a couple times.
Then slide up to a weird D/E-octave chord ( x x 0 9 x 12 ).
For this second one, muting the unnecessary notes is important to make the E notes really stand out.
