This is a Time Warner Cable tech splicing together an optical fiber.

  • @festertat2 Fiber is run to local nodes, then its feeder coax.

  • 10,000 is way too long. In about 5 years fiber will be outdated. (that is wild speculation based on nothing)

  • Must be annoying having to use those gloves.

  • its funny because they only use this for there backbone. Fios, its fiber right to your house. The best thing is it's only a pipe line, the speed will only increase.
