  • this is bad, how can this happen to the memories of so many lives lost on this island...my god,..its horrible , its not right, ..these men deserve to be remembered with honour..not piles of rubbish lying everywhere...

  • I was in the Navy. Marines are my brothers. How can there still be that many US Marines STILL listed as MIA when if we (our government) can EASILY find these Marines and take them home. Every fjormer and current serviceman should take this as a slap in the face. Call or write your congressmen and put in a bitch about this. Those brave men gave their lives for more then to be left there for all eternity. God bless them all and lets try to bring them home ASAP.

  • God Bless this HERO for his efforts. With all the wastefull spending that our Government does with OUR money, I think that something has got to give. As a tax-payer, I want my money to go towards these efforts... Bringing home the fallen heros so that their families can have closure. So that they can rest in a grave of honor where they TRUELY belong!

  • @Twom44 You can find anybody anywhere in the world remotely with a satellite, and zoom in far enough to see each hair on their head from outer space. You can press a button and wipe out a civilization. You can't tell me you can't find, and figure out who these people are, for both sides!

What this guy is doing is truly noble, and I hope he succeeds.

  • This Fuc$%# sucks they wouldn't let this happen at Normandy, shit shit

  • it is shameful not only that our government lets that go on, but that the people of that island allow that hallowed ground to be desecrated. Leon cooper is certainly an inspiration. I wish there was some way i could be involved

  • Read, "The Sex lives of Cannibals" a funny and interesting book about modern day Tarawa. By J. Maarten Troost.

  • Let us never forget the sacrifice made by the Marines who fought and died at Tarawa!
