Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2009 - Old F1 cars starting up in paddock + Life Car can't start

A video of the old 70s-80s era F1 cars starting up in the F1 paddock. These include a Lotus John Player Special, a Beneton, a Senna Mclarren driven by Bruno Senna and a Jackie Stewart Matra.

Who are the people driving these things? The owners? Or are there professional drivers for hire at the festival? Seems like it would be super hard to drive at low speeds

@Duffblue well they have a mixture of both, it's a huge motor festival and many celebrities from all over the world come. The cars are driven by their owners, celebrities, formula one, nascar and rally car drivers and many more. These cars work best at high speeds because the wings on the front and back create downforce which pushes them down into the track. Thanks for your comment (:

Life F1, the worst F1 team in history. The engine was crap back then, w-12 but no power, the chassi was outdated from the start (actually an old f1 chassi). One of the biggest failure in F1 history. The cars would not last more than 3 laps before braking down.

the car is not a ferrari but a 1990 life w12 driven first by gary brabham and then bruno giacomelli.the car had lots of trouble starting back then and i see nothing has changed still!
