  • Rubinstein understood Chopin like no other pianist. He saw well beyond the composer of delicate, rather difficult salon music played by talented young girls. He stressed the strength, virility and incredible sadness in Chopin's music. Does it take a Pole to know Chopin? I have Polish blood but can't play his music half as good... lol ;-)
