To tell you the truth, I struggle a lot with strumming patterns too. There's probably not much consistency with the way I'm playing it. Listening to the original a few times might help you out.

I'm not really sure what you mean. I actually just picked this one up by ear, playing G, D, C in the verses and G, D, Em, C in the chorus. I'm not sure if that's the same key as the original or not, but if you try to play those chords along with the video, you should be able to get the strumming down. Let me know if you'd like to know anything else.
