Pirate Ship Wars is a combat oriented game. two teams of a evenly divided number a players (usually) spawn on one of two ships. Each team has their own ship, which contains a mast or two for mobility, around 6 cannons, a lower deck for a mostly safe spawn point, and the wheel thing at the front. Players at the wheel have full control of the ship, they can go forwards, backwards, left, right, down waterfalls and right back up them as this shit is badass.

Anyone who isn't steering the ship can man the cannons, or be sneaky and run off the ship, though touching the water will kill you eventually. Players on the cannons can aim them with their mouse, after seeing something you think is worth shooting at (enemy ships, enemies, team mates), shoot the hell out of it. Players who missed their chance for the cannons get to run around with a musket, a pistol, a cutlass and a tiny ass "grenade". Shooting enemy players to get them off the cannons is a good idea. Aiming for the driver is also good.

The goal is to inflict as much damage as possible on the enemy ship. Hence the cannons. Ships are breakable. Being hit directly with a cannon ball with usually destroy whole chunks of ship. The first team to sink the enemy ship wins.
