For a product review of the Black & Decker TLD100 and an overview of how a thermal detector works, go to http://thediyvirgin.squarespace.com/product-reviews/2010/2/18/black-decker-tl...
We know our house is really, really drafty and we are always trying to seal it up tighter, so we bought a thermal detector to help us find the more elusive air leaks (the major ones are pretty obvious... sit by any of our windows on a windy day and your hair will blow!)
Our bathroom is by far the coldest room in the house. The old iron and porclein tubis always cold to the touch... great for refreshing baths in the humid, New Orleans summers, but not so wonderful in the winter.
Knowing that our tub is the source of our cold bathroom temperatures, we decided to make the bathroom our first test of our new thermal detector. Even though we were armed with our own knowledge of the cold bathroom, we really weren't prepared for the dramatic findings that the thermal detector gave us.

Best suggestion is to pull the tube lay done a plywood floor over existing. Insulate under home and replace tub with a newer tub

You need a thermal break! Here's a very cheap and super effective solution. Replace a short section of the drain pipe under the tube with ABS plastic drainpipe. Plastic is a poor conductor of heat. Then Like "npudomme111" says spray urethane foam up under the tub. You don't want any metal in direct contact with the outside air! Foam only 1" or so not lots. Foam to isolate the tub and plastic pipe to isolate the cold ground and metal piping. Heat cannot flow out pipe or metal!

Perhaps you could use a water-lock on the drain from the tub
