ZlatanDejan's Live Hat Crafting #1: Meh

After smelting 81 weapons, and sacrificing some random levelled weapons, I ended up with the 3 Refined Metals needed to fabricate a random hat. I actually got one of my very favourites, but...I already had it. Not complaining since a lot of people got much lamer ones (imo). Anyway...trade offers anyone?

so... basically if i were to entire 3 scrap metals, i might or might not get something? and the chances of me getting that glove hat are slim?

It's not 3 scrap metal, it's 3 refined metals for a random hat. You need 3 weapons to make 1 scrap, 3 scrap to make one reclaimed and 3 reclaimed to make 1 refined, and 3 refined for random. That makes a total of 81 weapons smelted. Then the chance of getting the rubber glove is something like 1 in 40, since you could get any hat, even the beard or medic mask now.

You need to craft a slot token, one engineer token (need at least one engineer weapon) and a scrap metal.

Craft them together, and BAM! Engineer weapon.

But you're just replacing one of his weapons by another.

Though, you can do the engineer token with a southern hospitality, craftable through a ambassador and a scrap metal. Using it to turn a class token into an engineer token, so you can craft your desired weapon.

I crafted my first hat a few days ago, It was a stupid hatless engie (I did want an engie hat though). Today I got the Scouts beanie cap in a random drop. I crafted them together, then BAM! I got the Hotrod, the hat I originally wanted :)
