Thanks for the Memories | (Rose/Martha/Doctor) AU

(I want to make it clear there is NO romantic relationship of any kind between Martha and Rose no matter what the lyrcis suggest; it's about the Doctor not each other.)

This is my entry for the Imagination of the Soul competition. The challenge was to edit a storyline.
Imagine Rose never left and Martha came along.


Storyline:
Martha decides to leave the Doctor and Rose after all their travels. After the Doctor reminding her of the good times Martha begins to reminisce. She thinks back to when she first met the pair; Rose and the Doctor go undercover at St Hopes hospital. She discovers the truth about the Doctor (two hearts) and, after saving their lives, the Doctor and Rose invite Martha to come with them. Things start to gently kick off between the three of them. The Doctor gives Martha a key and Rose is happy enough that theyre travelling together. She remembers all the dangers and adventures they got into together but she also remembers the heartache between her and Rose and their constant battle for the Doctors affection. At one point Martha and Rose cant take it and finally argue (Martha slaps Rose). During the her year away saving the world (Last of the Timelords) she decides to move on and leave the Doctor and Rose as she cant bare to see the couple together; by this point Rose and the Doctors feelings are out in the open. Martha walks away from the Doctor and he vanishes with Rose.

@JeremyKyleLuva Um, Martha thought the Doctor liked her because he kissed her. Freema says that in the confidentials, but I don't want to get into a big long explaination of Martha again... I just want to say that Martha didn't think she could woe the Doctor though. She liked him and she only pursues him because she thought he liked her and it was the first guy she could have in her life without her mother running him out...and her mother still interfered anyway.

@maxkitty223 But he needed the company, he's not a good traveller when he is alone. He needed someone there. That's why he took Martha along, maybe in the hope of moving on, not completely but moving on at least.

I feel quite bad for Martha xD she got the real short end of the companion stick. Emo Doctor who was in love with Rose (I love doctor/rose, don't get me wrong) when she absolutely adored him and he just completely blanked her and acted like a general douche to her xD

This is absolutely brilliant! This would have made a brilliant season 3 (although Martha is my favorite companion - and I already felt bad for her without Rose physically being there...)!!
