USSR- Russia is the most excellent hockey team in the world! They won, they win and they will win. Canadians can't play fair, if they start to loose, they start their dirty-beating games- that's the only way they're winning. And Kharlamov for sure one of the best ever hockey players in the world, he prooved it and everybody could see it. I respect and I'm proud of our team! This was against WHL players. Besides a handful of them, most were average players at best. Meanwhile, that Russian team was made up of their very best. The Russians couldn't even beat most of the real best Canadian players in '72, yet still missing the best two players, Bobby Orr and Bobby Hull. Give me a fucking break. Kharlamov is such an over-rated player. He split two pretty crappy, flat footed defenseman. Something you see in every NHL game. Big deal.

There's no possible way you could think this guy was better than Gretzky or Orr, unless you're Russian, in which case national pride has turned to ignorance... I'd even take Lemieux over him..sure he was good, but to compare him to Gretzky getting 215 points in 80 games in the NHL during the '85/'86 season,, Gretzky got 200+ points 4 times, and 100+ in 16 seasons..He made the NHL look like houseleague. Get off this guys cock and open your eyes.

@ggqbc ok, the 1974 summit series no one gives a shit about! it was in 72 with henderson that really counted, Canada had already beat them once, and this one was just for a bit of experience for the players that never had a chance in 72, the point is, 74 is worthless, we beat the unbeatable in 72, and we are not strange, just very proud and skilled people
