Recording Drums Day 1 - 05/10/09

Tiny little snippets of the first day recording drums for the album. We didn't take much footage today unfortunately, we were concentrating more on getting a good sound set up initially... we'll shoot some more tomorrow hopefully.

Took me a while to get into the feel for this first song that we put down today (called 'Don't Be A Stranger'). I haven't played drums for about 10 months until today, the closest thing has been hitting the stool under my desk with drum sticks. By the end of today though, I settled in ok. The sounds, that Paul the engineer came up with, are killer. Can't wait to add the rest of the instruments now, but first, I need to play drums for 12 more songs over the next couple of days.
