Aren't you worried about sand grains or residue remaining in the line? Unlikely, yes, but seems a bit risky to me should it make it's way to the cylinders. To each his own I guess.

@757WN Not really, if you are worried you can use a compressor to blow a lot of air through the line. If that's not enough, you can flush the line with alcohol and then blow it out. The only time I've ever had issues with fuel/brake lines I've bent myself is not getting the double flares corrrect, which will cause the joint to leak.

Any kind of sand. What's important is to pack it in tightly to keep the tube from buclking when you bend it.

And, as for metals, local shops will have steel, some will have stainless. Anything other than that is specialty.

anyway fixed it. it was rubber tubing. it was rotted. it was only a 4 inch length so it cost only a dollar to fix. good vid though.
