  • @blairomatic You need a capture unit like EzyCap. VCR to PC USB....

  • When Dean Jones was hot there was no better IMO.

  • I've got a famous win by NZ at the SCG in '83.

It is on VHS from Channel Nine but I don't know how to upload it onto youtube?

  • NZ lost the 82/83 series because Hadlee, who was in devastating form, was injured on the eve of the finals.

We were hopeless without him, Turner, Howarth, Crowe, Wright, Edgar, Cairns etc aside.

  • I was at this game. I'm trying to spot myself in the crowd.

There was a heatwave in Melbourne (about 41oC) and a huge factory fire in Richmond, with smoke wofting over the MCG.

  • The Kiwis did in Twenty20 games

  • bring back the outfits from back then

  • Some good points. Hadlee, Wright and Marty Crowe some great names to mention. The 2001/2002 kiwi team was up there with the aussies, if not better. A 3-1 record (and should've been 4-0 if it wasn't for some Bevan magic) against Aus in Aus is up there.

  • i don't know if they were ever mighty. of course they were a million times better than any kiwi team before or since. but every team had quality in the 80's. when you really take a close look the only time in the 80's nz was level pegging with aussie was in the 80/81 and 82/83 series but still lost. speaking of which, how about an upload of a kiwi win over aussie? would be great to see the 206 run win from 86, or the 1 run wins of 87 and 91.

  • The mighty NZ one day team of the 1980s was in decline by this series.
