My 84 Ford Ranger 302 V8, T5 5-speed walkaround and startup. Got most of the bugs out of er now, running sweet and handling nicely like it should, sure is a whole lot of power in a small package :D Need to find an 8.8 rear soon though

  • nice i got a 84 with a chevy 305 long tube headers ladder bars the works

  • @l3lhsl3 is it auto or stick? either way plop a V8 in a small truck and hold on!! haha I wish I kept this one

  • what did you use for headers?? that thing sounds nasty do u have a mild cam in it?

  • @kranski93 it had shorty headers into true dual 2-1/2 inch pipes with bullet mufflers, and yes it had a mild Comp Cam in it, 4bbl holley, etc. I miss driving it lol

  • I used advanced adapter motor mounts, and the stock tranny crossmember moved back, thats about it, and an oil filter relocation kit

  • i was wondering how you dont roast the tires off in that truck because i have a ranger im wanting to do this to its an 85 with a 2.3 and it roasts the hell out of tires without a problem so i was thinking that its so light i wouldnt ever get any where in it with a v8

  • @MyGta123 Oh I did roast the tires off in that truck haha, right into 3rd gear the tires would still be spinning if I was on it, got sideways VERY easy. and I almost never needed to do a brakestand lol, just dump the clutch and it would sit there a second just spinning the tires. Was truly an experience driving it, but I wouldn't be able to now because of rising gas prices :( The motors out of it right now because it lost oil pressure but it should be back on the road soon :)
