Nice job! You have a good eye. That took a lot of time. I'm normally against sequels and remakes, especially when they remake a movie that was perfect to begin with (looking at you Willie Wonka), but when particular movies could benefit from advances with special effects it would be kind of neat to see.

"The War has gone on so long... There is almost no one left to finish it. But the Armada are making one last push and there are so few left to stand and fight. But there is a world teeming with sentient life, yearning to go beyond their sky. Go there. Find fighters... star fighters to finish this war and save us all."
"What if there are none?"
"There will be... at least one."

@bloodrunsclear or simply just kill off centauri

Last Starfighter is one of my all-time favorite movies. I would love to see it re-made with today's special effects, IF it were done right. 1000% agree with those who said the casting of Centauri would be the trickiest part, because I can't see anyone living up to the original. Still, IF it were done right, I'd like to see the character have a larger part in the movie, and still remain completely true to the original characterization.

Awesome job!

Nice one. Which reminds me of Ender's Game. Have you already made a trailer for that one?

bloodrunsclear) Great remake trailer. I agree with you, if they do it correctly then it would be a great movie.

@bloodrunsclear That guy? you mean Bruce Boxleitner? And yes, he would be a fair pick, but Peter Jurasik would be better

Two words that are feared more than any other is space combat: "Death Blossom".

@bloodrunsclear A great actor can pull a lot of things off, doesn't mean it should be done though.
To quote Centauri's last words(which I think really sum him up)
"Alex, I want you to know that it was for the greatest good that I brought you back. Of course... it never hurts to be rich."
The biggest problem would be casting Centauri. I don't know many actors today who could be conniving, greedy and yet a great mentor figure as well.

Actually I was thinking of that guy in Tron Legacy, the guy who gives Sam the page from Flynn?
That would be interesting because he doesn't appear at all greedy or conniving, but those who have seen Babylon 5 know he can be XD

@bloodrunsclear Bruce Boxleitner? I never really thought Alan, Tron or John Sheridan as greedy.

@FaxModem1
Exactly!
Wouldn't it be interesting if Centauri seemed completely trust worthy because he was so good at hiding his other side?

@bloodrunsclear That kind of ruins Centauri's character. Centauri was presented as a kind of used car salesman but one that had a heart of gold. If he were to keep it hidden throughout the entire movie, and then have it suddenly revealed, it would feel as if Centauri was just using Alex and it was all an act.

Or it would seem as if it began that way but evolved into something more.
It was essentially a con game to begin with, but if he was a really good con then the act would be hard to see through. However it would develop as he grew in appreciation for Alex, and in the end Alex would have to determine what was the act and what was not.
I think Boxleitner could pull it off :)
