not for this phone u dont. but if they call you, tell them to put u on a pay per use plan "like only pay when u use it" BUT BUT BUT, you MUST tell them after that to do a data block on your phone, so that the phone does not use any data when you arnt aware of it. because remember, pay as u use data plan is like freaking 15 bucks for 1mb LOL
