Tata already introduced CNG version of Xenon since 29THBiMS. Few days before ME2008, Tata chosen that moment to insert Xenon CNG in lineup. But everything is quite unlike that demo vehicle. Because this real one will just get black fascia and bumpers. CD/MP3/Radio/USB player is removed. But everything of the CNG system remained the same. 2.1 CLE 115PS
Ajit Venkataraman is also here to speak for why Tata should bring the CNG pickup to Thai Market. He knows well for how important it is. Light duty logistics are important to our country just like other classes but due to the era of searching new ways of alternate energy. CNG is practical and environment friendly unlike usual carbon-fuels; and CNG usages of the country is now bigger and bigger day after day. So he believes that's a good fit of course.
Usual diesel system and fuel tank are removed while installed all certified parts of CNG system and conveying instead. That's why it's a reason to change the engine of course. The most important thing is it must have great value for owner, via low operate costs.
Bottom line, this maybe a good choice for environment-in-mind motorists even Tata Motors Thailand HQ and dealers aren't in Bangkok and nearby provinces.
