She walks like a supermodel and runs like an Olympic champion, and Saturday afternoon, Rachel Alexandra will make her New York debut when she puts her six-race winning streak on the line in the 53rd running of the Grade 1, $300,000 Mother Goose Stakes at Belmont Park.

1)Ruffian also came from a line of horses known for breakdowns and bone problems.

    2) Back when Ruffian was racing, they did not have the same technology for healing horses: if Ruffian had the harness that they now keep horses in to help them heal/sedatives to calm her, she would have lived.

  • love to see a bitch like you get proved wrong!

    GO RACHEL ALEXANDRA!

  • so are you like the hotwalker for Zenyatta, thats all i can gather

  • Just read on bloodhorse that some guys is proposing a match race btw Zenyatta and RA. And what have we learned from match races(Ruffian breakdown)??!!! If they are to face one another it should be against other horses as well.

  • Rachel's bubble bursting this Sunday.

  • dumbo..Yours are fantasy NOT FACTS! lol It was Jess who said. I know it's still months from the Breeders but no way we are getting near that mare and that is final. hahahahaha

  • dumbo - You're the one that dont know the fundamentals. You need to compare the same distance at the same racetrack that both horses ran. It's Oaklawn part at 1 1/16- Zenyatta 5 lengths ahead of overhyped Rachel at the finish. God only knows how much larger in a longer race. lol

  • dumbo - Your comparison is flawed. Why dont you use the time the distance they have raced like Oaklawn park at 1 1/16. Zenyatta beat her time by 1 second. I could imagine how much further Zenyatta would be in a longer race. it would be a laugher. No wonder Jess don't want to run against Zenyatta in the Breeders. Oh right I just remembered - it's the surface.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I understand that some of you dont know the fundamentals of horse racing. but let me try, when horses run at the same distance and one horse runs at the distance 2 full seconds faster that means 1 horse doesnt have a chance against the other. Do you think it was R.A.'s owner that pulled out of running them against each other during the summer, no it was Zen's owner that said: "oh my we want no part of a 1:46 1 1/8 mile horse. Smart move dont get Zen embarrassed, These are facts not opinions.

  • That's because RA is a fast filly and runs hard. Zenyatta is just as capable, but she's not raced as hard. If they were raced, Zenny would have competition, but she would stay 10 lengths or so behind RA, and then 10-20 seconds left of the race, and she'd zoom past RA. I bet you that's what will happen.

Zenny doesn't have to try as hard as RA does to win. Zenny loves to win though, and she will show you, all of you, if they should race.
