  • I like pancakes, they can be a great start to a day. If everybody in the world started their day with a plateful of pancakes, world peace would be a stone's throw away.

Creative writing seems too personal to be a subject. It would be like giving people 'Love lessons'.

  • for a first novel Carrie was phenomenal, there was a lot more he could have done with that storyline and I think he did with Firestarter.

  • i think Mr King was a smig horny in this interview,,,,id do ya steo,,no actually iwouldnt ur brain would scare me ...:)

  • yes pancakes rockady rock my socks off...thank you very much

  • It can't be taught, definitely, butI think it CAN be improved.

  • I wouldn't say that you either have the skill to do creative writing or you don't. Like Stevo said, you've got to read alot, and write alot, then you can build up the skill.

  • Have to disagree in some ways. I used to think that there are 2 kinds of authors. First is a group who have wild imagination so they can create any story just by closing their eyes. Second is a people who experienced much in their lives so they compile their knowledge in good books. Which is obviously self teaching. About writing techniques itself: 90% of the people cannot differ good written book from bad one so who actually cares?

  • Creative writing cannot be taught, it's true. You either have it, or you don't.

  • I'm a writer, and have to agree; creative writing CANNOT be taught. Yet those with limited skills insist on giving us advice. How many have been directed to creative writing groups?

I disagree with the statement "writers don't get laid". Many women are impressed by the fact we have goals and are able to do something other mere mortals cannot.
