Early that day, I had replaced the front brake shoes, my problem was that i didnt bleed that brakes to make up for the excess pressure in the brake lines from compressing the caliper pistons from getting in the thicker new pads, so the front brake was much more stiff than usual (a little touch was ALOT of brake, most of my brakin that day was one finger, lightly pulling and thats all i needed to stop well)
There was at first gravel that I had slightly dodged, which threw me off my line and got my mind set off track, then something slipped somewhere and made the bikes steering head get a little funny as you saw, shocked, and since my front brake was extra stiff, i go to pull on the brake like normal just to slow it down just a tad, and it locked it up. And Boom

Oops. I found my wits and read your blurb eventually. : ) I had a very similar slip to this this summer, but just small scratches and a bent rear brake lever for me. But nice riding up to that point mate.
