Hero of CASA

Governor Martin O'Malley has turned Maryland into the first "SANCTUARY STATE" in the nation. His administration and the Democrat-controlled Maryland legislature has given away millions of taxpayer dollars to provide benefits and services for the state's growing population of illegal aliens. The result is Maryland has become "the" destination state for illegal aliens who have left other states that are trying to uphold the rule of law and enforce current U.S. immigration laws. Even as Maryland struggled to backfill a $1.5 billion deficit during a special session, CASA still received millions of dollars in new funding to facilitate the needs of illegal aliens and their families.

Every year, CASA aggressively lobbies Maryland legislators to fund a never-ending list of additional new benefits and services. One of the hottest issues in Maryland is driver's licenses for illegal aliens. Over the years, much of the debate has surrounded the heavy-handed antics of Delegate Joseph F. Vallario, Jr. who is Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. For years, Vallario has been accused of using his powerful Chairman position to bottle up, stall and kill good legislation that attempts to control illegal immigration--including Maryland's compliance with the federally-mandated Real ID Act. At the same time, he has thrown his support behind making sure Maryland remains one of the easiest states for illegal aliens to obtain a legal state license (and voter registration card) and other legislation that increases benefits and services for illegal aliens.

At the beginning of every Maryland Legislative Session, CASA holds a "rally" for the purpose of generating photo-ops and news stories to promote their pro-illegal alien agenda before they begin an aggressive lobbying effort. This video was taken at a rally that took place on February 25, 2008. It features the Executive Director of CASA, Gustavo Torres, introducing Delegate Joe Vallario, Jr., who Torres calls a "hero" and "a fighter for our licenses...." At the top of the 2008 CASA agenda is support for a bill to provide in-state tuition for the children of illegal aliens.

The people of Prince George's and Calvert counties should be ashamed of themselves for sending this man to Annapolis who would sell out our country and his constituents who are legal US citizens. These illegal immigrants are taking jobs from our poorest citizens and taking social services away form our children. According to the Pew Hispanic Center, in 2003, $10 BILLION was sent to Mexico from the US! According to Bendixen & Assoc., legals & illegals sent $13.3 BILLION as of May 28, 2004. Money sent from the US is considered their third major revenue stream after narcotics & oil sales. The Nat'l Academy of Sciences has found that the fiscal drain on each tax payer is between $166 & $226 per illegal per year. Illegals are a burden & a danger to any nation they infest. According to the Pew Hispanic Center, of the federal crimes committed, 25% is done by whites, 21% by blacks, & 29% BY ILLEGAL HISPANICS!!! The number of the incarcerated between 1991 & 2007 has risen from 14,514 to 19,583 for whites, 8,879 to 16,415 for blacks, & 7,924 to 29,281 FOR HISPANICS! The majority of the Hispanics arrested for federal crimes WERE ILLEGALS & approximately half were arrested for being ILLEGAL!

Since most of the illegals in MD are central americans, why isn't CASA speeding along their asylum requests instead of setting up programs for protection?

I think it is because hiding people is more profitable than filling out some paperwork for asylum; which, btw, is easy for Salvadorans, etc to obtain.
